ART Valley Scarecrow Trail
Join us in tracking down a trail of scarecrows throughout Alt Valley on Saturday 22 August 2009, 12.00pm to 4.00pm. Groups of young people from the area have been working with artists to transform people's unwanted bottles and clothes into wonderful scarecrows. There will be lots to do as the whole community gets involved with a day that will be fun for all the family.

Water taxi for Bootle
Have fun splashing about in the water, people living in a housing regeneration area in Bootle can take a ride in a water taxi - which is actually an upside down hackney cab, modified by Dutch artist Lambert Kamps.

National Family Week
The first National Family Week (25th - 31st May 2009) saw families from the Cornish coast to the Scottish hills enjoying each other's company and taking part in over 4000 activities and events in celebration of good family life. Family Friendly Merseyside celebrated with free arts activities at BBC Merseyside.
