Persistance of Vision
FACT
21 Jun 2010 - 30 Aug 2010

If you’re looking for something to entertain the family in the Summer holidays, our exhibition Persistence of Vision has something for everyone, and it’s free!

Exploring how we see, and our memories, the exhibition features work from nine contemporary artists and is a really fun, interactive experience.

Enter The Exploratory Laboratory to try your hand at our specially designed, interactive games testing your memory and visual perception skills. Get all the family paying to compare your scores and continue playing online at home.

Our galleries feature some amazing interactive artworks. Inspired by a hall of mirrors, Danish artists AVPD have created an installation in our main gallery space where you can chase your own reflection. Take a trip upstairs to Gallery 2 and play with a magnifying glass to manipulate projections – look closely, you might see a familiar image! Check out German artist, Julius von Bismarck’s stunning installation which uses special paint to leave traces of projections on the gallery wall.

In our Public Spaces, you can contribute to Sascha Pohflepp’s atworks by submitting your own memories, and thinking about the photograph’s you wish you’d taken!
