National Conservation Centre

Have you ever wondered how museums care for the objects in their collection?

Find out at Reveal-The Hidden Story of Objects at the National Conservation Centre. Everything from Roman sculpture to spacesuits comes here to be looked after. See our working laboratory, rebuild a broken pot and even discover what’s underneath the bandages of an Egyptian mummy

Stop off at the café to sample our children’s menu and pick up a pocket-money priced souvenir at the shop.
